Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday said that Venezuela efforts are one of the factors that helped stabilize oil price at its current level.
He made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Foreign Minister of Venezuela Delcy Rodríguez and the countrys Petroleum Minister Nelson Martinez.
Venezuelan foreign minister and the countrys petroleum minister are in Tehran for an official visit.
The Iranian foreign minister expressed satisfactions with Iran-Venezuela relations and praised Caracas efforts as the president of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Iran is ready to support international cooperation to ease tensions and help maintain oil price agreement at the interest of all OPEC member and non-member states, the official added.
Meanwhile, the Venezuelan foreign minister for his part expressed satisfaction for being in Tehran and said he aims to discuss oil-related issues and the framework of cooperation with Iran in NAM.
The official called Venezuela-Iran relations strategic and said, "Venezuela expresses solidarity with the big nation of Iran and believes that threats expressed against Iran will not result in any problem for the country."
The Venezuelan delegation is expected to talk with Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh on Tuesday.
